How to use the graph paper
- 1
Pick the grid
10 squares per inch is the classic charting grid. Choose 11, 14, 16 or 18 to draw at the exact size of your fabric.
- 2
Choose guide lines
Bold lines every 10 squares make counting easy; every 5 helps on small motifs. Centre lines mark the middle of the page.
- 3
Print at 100%
Use actual size, not fit to page, so one inch on paper is one inch on the fabric.
- 4
Draw and stitch
Colour one square per stitch, write a key, and start from the centre lines.
Turn any photo into a pattern
Real DMC colours, symbols, a thread list with skeins and a printable PDF.
